Explore the Universe With
Peak Stargazing
Spend a night with us under the stars! Whether you’ve never seen a telescope or are a professional astronomer, we're here to guide your exploration and spark your imagination.
What We Offer
Welcome to Colorado! The dry climate and high elevation make this an excellent stargazing destination!
Stargazing is best done on cool nights and as far away from major cities and light pollution as possible. In the Front Range, Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park area are best for the clearest and darkest skies that are easily accessible. If you’re not in the Front Range don’t worry, there are many dark sky areas around Colorado that are excellent for stargazing!
If you’d like an expert to show you the skies, we’re happy to work with you on a custom Stargazing experience! Contact us at Peakstargazing@gmail.com for details and pricing.
Our standard programs run for up to 3 hours and are offered at Pinewood Reservoir, Estes Park/RMNP area, or in your own backyard! These programs start around sunset or 7pm, whichever is later. We begin with the brightest stars and planets, and as it gets darker we move on to deep sky objects such as star clusters, nebulas, and other galaxies.
We hope that after a night with Peak Stargazing, you’ll walk away with some new knowledge, a fresh perspective, and an unforgettable memory.

Weather in the mountains can be unpredictable. If we are unable to run your program due to weather, we will do our best to rebook you for another night.
